RAOAL was created to do many things:

• Provide education as to what defines "responsible" (as it relates to animals).
  
• Show how will laws motivated by the animal rights movement affect Alabama residents, even those that do not own animals.
  
• Help local shelters find forever homes for pets in need.
  Offer the the opportunity to learn more about animal people and businesses in Alabama.
  

Earlier this year, bills were introduced that will greatly limit Alabama dog and cat owner’s rights. Fortunately the only one to pass into law was the positive proposal to change the Rabies vaccination requirement from yearly to every three years. However, if negative bills pass our legislature, those bills can EASILY spread to include other animal species.

WE MUST WORK TOGETHER TO PROTECT OUR ANIMAL OWNERSHIP RIGHTS!

At RAOAL you'll find resources for your use and for you to share with others. We hope you'll subscribe to our quarterly newsletter, which will spotlight different pets, businesses and individuals, as well as offer training tips and other useful information. I am a big proponent of education and enjoy helping others. The newsletter will also include Federal and Alabama alerts and calls to action.

RAOAL is for ALL animal owners - not just fanciers, but the everyday people who simply love their animals. We’re also for those whose livelihoods depend on the responsible use of animals. So no matter if you own a dog, cat, horse, ferret, lizard, hamster – regardless of what type of animal you own or hope to own – if you want to protect your American right to own animals, we hope you will join us fight negative legislature!
